I was born in Erzurum in 1961. I entered philosophy program at the Faculty of Language, History, and Geography in Ankara University in 1980. I got a BA in philosophy in the term of 1984-1985. I won the governmental scholarship in philosophy as a best student in the summer of 1986. As a result of this scholarship, I went to study at Duquesne University, U.S.A in 1988. I chose Duquesne University because of its reputation and concentration in continental philosophy, phenomenology, and related areas. I completed MA program in 1990. This program does not require a thesis but more course works. The same year I started Ph.D. program at Duquesne University. I completed my Ph.D. program in October of 1993. The title of my dissertation is "Heidegger's Destruction of the History of Ontology in relation to his Interpretation of Descartes; "Cogito Sum". After having Ph.D. degree, I came back to Turkey. I have worked as an associate professor at Uludag University since February of 1994. I have published four books: the first was Being and Time in Heidegger's Philosophy; the second was Logic ; the third was Introduction to Philosophy ; the last one was Philosophy of History of Medieval Age . I presented many papers in my country or abroads.. My specialized areas are contemporary philosophy, ontology, metaphysics and logic.
